I love eyelashes.  No….I LOVE eyelashes. I have a serious case of lash envy!  (some refer to it as an eyelash obsession!) That would be due to the fact that I have the shortest, sparsest lashes ever!  And they point downwards to boot!
On the weekends you can usually find me sporting a pair of falsies.  Yes, I put glue mere millimeters away from my eyeballs…and YES it does sting like hell if the glue gets into your eyes.  I usually buy my lashes in sets of 10 from eBay.  After shipping they come out to just around $1/pair!  not bad, huh?!  :)  It makes me feel less guilty about throwing them out at the end of the night when i ruin them by ripping them off.  :)
This pic was snapped as I was waiting in the car for Pear to come down so we could head off to Woodbury for some shopping!  This was the first time wearing a pair from this set…much shorter and fuller than I’m used to…but I like them!

Attended a birthday dinner on our day off from work.  The birthday boy’s girlfriend brought along a candle for the cake that was umm…a little extravagant?

It was a little chilly this weekend and my buddy Milo was the perfect foot warmer!

At the hospital the nurse gave us a marker to bring up to radiology with us so they could mark mom…when we got upstairs to radiology the nurse told use to keep the wrapped one as a souvenir and she used one that she already had.  Mom got a chuckle out of it…at least it broke the tension, right?

I let her hold my lucky ninja for good luck :) Even though he was tucked away in a locker the whole time…

On Saturday this nice surprise came to our door courtesy of Lili!  So sweet of her…and I’m proud to say its been in the house for 2 days so far and its still going strong!

My allergies were TERRIBLE last weekend!  And these drops burned like HELL when I put them in!  I guess it didn’t help that I was rubbing my eyes all day…

Got this in the mail from Sephora…Not sure if I’m going to redeem it for the gift or not though since I might get tempted to shop.  Although I DO need some more foundation…I’d say I have less than a month left with the bottle I’m using!

I love the Target I go to!  Not only does the pharmacist know my name but in the cafe area they have all of the condiments neatly lined up in little rows!  ALL THE TIME!

Mom has a small procedure coming up which will require a hospital visit…so off to Bloomingdales I went to find her something small to cheer her up during her recovery.  I REALLY REALLY wanted this Gund bear…but of course they were sold out and they wouldn’t give me the display one.  So I had to go with Plan B…a mug.  But she does enjoy a cup of coffee every day at home with her Keurig…so at least I know it’ll be used!

It has been obscenely warm these last few weeks…I’m talking 40′s-50′s in February!  (Am I the only one that feels a little short changed on winter weather??)  Its been so warm that the crocuses have started popping up in the garden!  These little guys are so cute…they open and close with the temperature!  Obviously it was a little chilly when I snapped this picture!

Had a last minute dinner on Sunday night at Rach’s place.  We can always count on Rach for hosting a classy dinner – with table runners and chargers to boot!   (Even if there is a stripper pole installed just a foot to to the left of the dining room table!  ;-)  In her defense though…her male roommates installed it prior to her moving in!)

On Valentine’s Day I treated myself to an extra long shower and topped it off with a face mask!  It was a nice treat from being in a hard hat and construction boots all day!

Above mentioned hat and boots!  Occasionally for work I need to check on sites that are in construction phases.  Exciting, I know.

Had lunch with mom and my brother at our local sushi restaurant.  After we paid the bill the waitress came over and gave these to mom and myself.  :-) Little lollipops with a mesh rose wrapped around the base.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy Valentine’s Day!  The only person that got a Valentine from me this year was my mom. :)  She’s been going through a lot in the last few weeks…so hopefully the box of sugar free chocolates I got her doesn’t taste like cardboard and cheers her up!

Finally a break in the week in photo posts! ;)

I do have a revisit to Ippudo post and the second half of my AC trip in the drafts…just have to finish going through the pictures before I publish it!

As for plans for today…nada!
Going to have some quality ME time!  We all deserve one of those every now and then right?   I’m thinking extra long shower, hair treatment and face mask!  :)

Got a new laptop at work….usually they’re hand me downs from the executives who get the real new ones….but I believe this is evidence that i got a brand spanking new one too!  :)

Ordered some limited edition Android toys last week.  They were all sold out from the usual places where we get them from – apparently they sold like hotcakes!  We were able to find them from a vendor in Hong Kong….shipping took just about a week!  (Hello ebay sellers…why do your products take 3+ weeks when I order from you in HK???)   These are special Androids created by Dead Zebra for Chinese New Year!

I have been wanting a new Crock Pot for a while…and I’ve been stalking various ones on sale.  Target finally put one of the fancier ones on sale for $29.99…SCORE!  Cooked my first meal in it for mom…hopefully she’ll like it!  We’re trying to get her to eat healthier!  The recipe couldn’t be easier!  I made a simple spice rub – paprika, cayenne, white pepper, black pepper, salt, thyme, onion powder and some other misc herbs I had and rubbed the bird inside and out.  layered the bottom of the pot with some potatoes, carrots and celery and stuffed the cavity with some as well.  Set it on low for 8 hours and the result is fall-off-the-bone chicken!  :)
*NOTE…I made this recipe twice so far…I tried cooking it for 6 hours on high the next time and mom said that the chicken was much drier this time so you can’t really switch up the cooking time/heat settings.  Next time I’m sticking with 8 hours on low again!

Attended a fundraiser for a friend who has a family member that is going through some medical issues.  As a thank you the family made and gave out these bracelets.  It says Kapatid – Sibling. Thank you for your support, From the Mayo Family.

FINALLY got a haircut!  I wanted to keep the length…and so I only said 3 inches.  In reality its more like 6 inches he cut off…he cut off the initial 3…and then he kept snipping and snipping when he was shaping it…
It’s only hair…it’ll grow back right? :T

And we can’t get a cut without some color right?  I asked for blue-black this time.  I wanted something darker than usual.  I had a minor panic attack when the girl’s gloves started to take on a hue of purple!!  But it came out good.  I love the color!  And its rare that I love anything with my hair!  I just wish I had time for an oil treatment too because it only LOOKS shiny and healthy…it feels like straw!

Starbucks gold card!  I haven’t really used the card much…since I just go to get the free drinks that I accumulate from dad’s transactions!

We took Perry out for his birthday at Morimoto’s last week…food was amazing as always!  Enough so that it warrants its own post…standby!
They have the fanciest toilets I’ve ever done my business on!  When you walk into the stall the seat cover automatically lifts up…and the toilet seat is heated!  I don’t recommend putting your bare tush on it though…since it still is technically a public bathroom and that would be nasty.

There are also some bidet features built into the toilet as well…

More than a month late…I finally gave E her Christmas present!  What was it??  125 Kindereggs!  Shipped from Germany!  Which took foreverrrrrrr by the way!

The pups!
Zipper…
Buttons:
The Superbowl was this past Sunday…Ron kindly hosted this year and here was our spread!  Pizza from pier 76, sushi from brooklyn, and Costco wings!   *burp

A little late on last week’s post….I think I finally figured out a  way to organize my stuff.  Or not…

I do love the new features on WordPress though which makes it 100% easier for me to get pictures up on here!

The great dumpling hunt…All of the markets near my house don’t seem to carry these dumplings anymore!  So it was quite the pleasant surprise when I finally found them at (of course the FURTHEST) market near my house!

Poop key cover.  Nuff said.

Spotted this while walking with the boy to look for above mentioned dumplings…I’m all for wearing fake lashes but this…really???

This week’s mani color…quickly making it into my rotation of favorites!

Saw this sign when I went to Kohls to try to buy a Crock Pot that I saw was on sale…of course they were sold out!  Are you a superstar???  I should have parked there – both spots were empty! ;)

I sneezed while putting on my eyeliner and ended up extending the line much further than usual…but I kind of like it!
